About Us

Ryan Sobus, MPH, RD, LDN, Co-Owner of Healthy Diets, Inc., is a registered member of the American Dietetic Association. Her passion lies in wellness and disease prevention. She believes that everyone deserves to be healthy and has the ability to achieve it - with the awareness and motivation to take care of our bodies. Ryan specializes in medical nutrition therapy for weight management and has earned a certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. She also has extensive experience in the areas of heart health nutrition, diabetes education, eating disorders, food allergies, sports nutrition, and worksite wellness. She enjoys working with both children and adults. Ryan earned her Master of Public Health Nutrition degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Converse College. As a former college athlete, avid runner, and new mom to a healthy baby girl, she prioritizes re-inventing how to live a healthy life on a budget and on a schedule!

Jennifer Hunt, RD, LDN joined the Healthy Diets, Inc. team to inspire and educate individuals who have a desire to improve theirhealth and well being. She graduated with Departmental Honors from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences and over one thousand hours of practical experience. She was awarded the Texas Outstanding Dietetic Student Award, as well as a leadership award at her local dietetic association. Jennifer personalizes her counseling approach by coaching individuals to change the way they think and relate to the food they eat. As a registered member of the American Dietetic Association and the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine practice group, Jennifer is committed to providing individualized nutrition counseling focused on the multidimensional facets of food and nutrition. She believes that while it is important to break down these components of the diet, it is also important to look at how the parts fit together as a whole and impact an individual's lifestyle and dietary needs.

Katie Ort, RD, LDN is a Registered Dietitian and member of the American Dietetic Association. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her dietetic internship through the University of Virginia Health System, where she developed her skills in a variety of clinical and community settings, including areas such as weight management, cardiology and diabetes management. She has continued to expand her knowledge and experience in GI health with an emphasis on Celiac's Disease by receiving a certificate in Gluten-Free Resource Education Awareness Training from the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA). While working with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, in addition to nutrition programs for elementary and middle school students, Katie discovered her true passion for working with children. She believes that no child is too young to understand the importance of food and to enjoy healthy living. She is an active member in the Raleigh/Durham Dietetic community and enjoys organic gardening and cooking healthy, vibrant dishes. She believes in teaching people how to eat healthy, not only the right way, but the fun way.

Joye Willcox, Ph.D., RD, LDN is a registered member of the American Dietetic Association with extensive experience in weight management and other areas of clinical nutrition. She completed a doctorate in Nutrition at North Carolina State University in 2002, conducting research and publishing results that involved the investigation of interactions between dietary antioxidants. She has always "walked the talk" in terms of personal fitness and nutrition and is known for her enthusiasm, persistence, and innovation in helping others make healthier lifestyle choices. At this time Dr. Willcox is not accepting new patients for individual counseling.
