Joye Willcox, Ph.D., RD, LDN is a registered member of the American Dietetic
Association with extensive experience in weight management and other areas
of clinical nutrition. She completed a doctorate in Nutrition at North Carolina
State University in 2002, conducting research and publishing results that
involved the investigation of interactions between dietary antioxidants. Dr.
Willcox serves as the private practice member on the NC Board of Dietetics/Nutrition.
As a Commander in the Navy Reserves she is actively involved with the Health
Promotions program of her local reserve center where she serves as the hospital
unit Commanding Officer. She has always "walked the talk" in terms
of personal fitness and nutrition and is known for her enthusiasm, persistence,
and innovation in helping others make healthier lifestyle choices.
Note: Joye will be on leave for a year starting
in August, to fulfill her duties to the Navy Reserves in Germany.
Janie Hoag, MPH, RD, LDN is a registered member of the American
Dietetic Association. She earned her Master of Public Health Nutrition
degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a focus
on weight management and diabetes. She received her Bachelor of Arts
degree in psychology from North Carolina State University. Her experience
includes counseling adults and children in both clinical and public health
environments. As
a sports enthusiast herself, Janie understands the dietary needs of athletes
during both training and off-season times. She shares her passion for nutrition
with her clients to make dietary changes that can fit in today's busy
world.
Mary Gray Hutchison, MPH, RD, LDN is a registered member of the American Dietetic Association. She received her Master of Public Health Nutrition degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a focus on maternal and child health. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees from North Carolina State University in biology and food science. Her experience includes counseling people of all ages, in both clinical and outpatient settings, as well as in the public health environment. She understands the importance of physical activity along with proper dietary practices and encourages that clients find a healthy balance between the two. She enjoys helping her clients make the necessary dietary changes to live healthier, happier lives.
